HAITI BENEFIT SHOW!

Ki:Theory is playing a benefit show for Haiti 2/27 at Gallery 5 in RVA. All proceeds benefit earthquake victims in Haiti through Doctors Without Borders. Also on the bill are Duchess Of York, Big Bang TV, The Half Jeffersons, Bexley and The Animal Beat. It is a $10 all ages show and it starts at 5pm. If you live in the area – hope to see you there!

SKATE, SURF, KILLER SEA LIONS, KI:THEORY…

Ki:Theory has been popping up in various adrenaline maximizing outdoor moving picture films recently.  A few of them are pretty BADASS… Partucularly a mountain skateboard film called “The Road” (no, unfortunately Viggo Mortensen does not appear in this one) by Brandon Gust.  Also, Our friends from Get In The Van (twitter GITV) are at it again surfing all over the world – this time with giant killer Sea Lions in Alaska…Check’em out for yourself!

NO ONE GETS HURT!

HEY! N-N-N-N-EWWWW KI:THEORY!!  I’m finishing up my new song, “No One Gets Hurt” this week.  It’s been a work in progress over the last few months and the guys at Black Iris were nice enough to let us track some drums in their  hella-nice studio digs.  Thanx especially to hella-tall Cam DiNunzio (Heks Orkest, Denali) for engineering the session and even bringin some of his pristine monster-of-indie chops on guitar!  The song is in final mix phase now and I hope to have it ready for you to hear in the coming weeks!

MASTER CARPENTER…

Happy holidays all! Got a little story for yah about how I became a master carpenter…’s helper over the weekend and got to spend some QT in the country with my brother in the process. It all started this fall when Anne and i saw some rad farm tables at the Brooklyn Flea Market made by this super cool store called Olde Good Things. They make furniture out of old reclaimed lumber so… I got an idea to make one myself. It so happens that there’s an architectural salvage company in RVA called Caravati’s that has tons of reclaimed heart pine from homes built turn of the century. I went down there and got what i needed and brought it to my bro’s house where began planing (like with a planer), table sawing, glueing, clamping, drilling and nailing it in his wood shop until we had transformed it into a Bistro Farm Table of my very own. It turned out stylish, beautiful and STURDY (I’m typing on it now)!!! Just thought I’d share. Families are cool. Thanx Ricky!
